Stardew Valley has a simple yet beautiful pixel art style.

There’s a lot of variety in what the game has to offer visually, with tons of different assets filled with detail, the art in the game never feels boring.

This kind of art style definitely helps Stardew Valley remain relevant over the years as it's one that‘s continuously appealing.

2.The joy of managing a farm

In an industry filled with fast-paced action games, it's nice sometimes to just relax a bit and take care of some chicken.

It’s an absolute joy to manage the farm aspect of the game. From planting crops to growing cattle and even making sure you pet those chickens every day, it’s very rewarding to engage in the farm activities the game provides.

Just the farm alone has a lot of content to offer, and with every update, more is added making it feel fresh and interesting, and if for some reason you start to get bored of your farm, you can just start a new one with a different layout providing you with new challenges.

3.Social interaction and exploration

There’s a lot to do in Stardew Valley besides taking care of the farm, for example, you can build relationships with the NPC's to the point of potentially marrying them and having kids.

You can explore the world finding forage goods everywhere, fishing, and even fighting monsters in the various dungeons.

There is a huge amount of quests you can do for the NPC's, some giving you small rewards, others unlocking valuables and even secrets.

You will never run out of different things to do in Stardew Valley and each playthrough will feel different due to the sheer amount of variety the game has to offer.

4.Multiplayer

If at any point playing alone starts to feel boring, you can always just play with friends in multiplayer.

The multiplayer experience is very engaging, you can work together for a common goal or even compete against each other to see who can make the best farm, but one thing is for sure, it's always fun to play Stardew Valley with friends.

The single-player experience is already very good, but having this additional option of gameplay guarantees longevity to the game.

5.Concerned Ape

Concerned Ape is the creator and protagonist of the success story that is Stardew Valley.

His love for the game is most likely the main reason Stardew Valley is still relevant.

Ever since release, he keeps working on massive free content updates that could easily be sold as DLC, yet he chooses not to. This is something to be praised and one of the many reasons the community loves him so much.

Conclusion

With its great visuals and a huge amount of content that keeps growing every year, Stardew Valley is and will continue to be relevant for a very long time.

If you haven't tried the game yet give it a go, just remember to pet those chickens.
